Our educational programs

We at Academy of Little Achievers (ALA) are a NAC Accredited, Gold Seal preschool. We offer care for children from ages one through school age, as well as free VPK. ALA is also a Gold Rated School Readiness provider with the Early Learning Coalition. Our focus is on small class sizes to ensure that your child is getting the time and attention necessary for kindergarten readiness.

Toddler care

1 to 3 years

  • Gain a Better Understanding of One’s Self:
  • By developing meaningful relationships that promote a sense of safety and security.
  • By promoting one’s self-esteem and confidence.
  • Through the discovery of independence.
  • Through expressions of emotion and social skills.

 

  • Nurturing Physical & Cognitive Development:
  • Through the exploration of both gross and fine motor activities.
  • Through the incorporation of hands-on activities to promote life long learning experiences.
  • Through the incorporation of music and movement to stimulate brain development.

 

  • Speech & Language Development:
  • Through the use of developmentally-appropriate curriculums.
  • Through the parallel learning strategy, we incorporate sign language into their daily routines.

Preschool

3 to 4 years

  • Through the discovery of independence and cooperative learning.
  • Through expressions of emotion and social skills.
  • By focusing on “Respect” for ourselves, our classmates, our teachers and our community.

 

  • Nurturing Physical & Cognitive Development:
  • Through the exploration of both gross and fine motor activities.
  • Through the incorporation of hands-on activities to promote life long learning experiences.
  • Through the incorporation of music and movement to stimulate brain development.
  • Through the use of varied learning styles to ensure whole child development.

 

  • Speech & Language Development:
  • Through the use of a print-rich environment, we foster a love for learning and use of language in the classroom.
  • Through the use of several developmentally appropriate curriculums.
  • Through the parallel learning strategy, we incorporate Spanish into their daily routines.

4 to 5 years
