We Are Academy of Little Achievers

We understand the fact that children are the future. That’s why we believe It’s never too early to get them started learning and on the right path.  We founded Academy of Little Achievers with a mission to provide a safe, reliable, and impactful learning environment for children from ages 1-5 years old.

With the help of a carefully selected teaching staff, an engaging curriculum, and a well-designed classroom environment, we have already helped hundreds of children establish their foundation. We look forward to seeing you and your little one at our amazing center located in the heart of Port Charlotte!

Our mission

We provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children to lay the foundation to build a brighter future. We strive to provide an enriched environment that incorporates social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs for infants through school age children. By developing a partnership with the parents we will be able to provide a commitment to lifelong learning.

 

Philosophy

We believe that children need a safe and nurturing environment. We believe that each child is special and unique. We feel that children learn best through hands on learning experiences that promote self-discovery, cooperative learning, and cognitive development. We believe that when it comes to children their feelings count, their sadness is comforted, their joy is shared and their accomplishments are praised. With this, we believe that by developing a partnership with the parents we will ensure success for our students at home, as well as, in school.

My name is Cynthia Hawk aka Miss Cinde, VPK teacher for ALA with a M.A. in education and 28 years of experience.  Teaching is my passion! The sparkle in a child’s eye when they learn or see something new, makes everything worth wild. ALA has a welcoming, sit down and stay awhile, “let’s see what we can do!” atmosphere. The owner and staff make ALA a wonderful awarding place to be.

Ms. Ashley

Hello my name is Ms. Ashley. I have been working with children since high school, which would be about 10 years now. I’ve done middle, high school, as well as ESE. I went to trade school for early childhood development and I have my child development associate credential certification. I absolutely love working with children and watching them grow. ALA has been the best school I’ve worked for, the environment here is like no other.

Ms. Diamond

My name is Ms. Diamond but you can call me the potty trainer. I’ve been working with children since high school and I am the oldest of 12. I fell in love with teaching because I love to see their faces when they learn something new or do something they thought they couldn’t. Also, I have the best conversations with them. I enjoy the environment working at ALA and being able to watch the kids grow.

Hello, I’m Ebony, teacher in the Loveable Lions room. I’m lucky to be part of such a great team here at ALA. We strive to make learning fun and exciting. We are super hands on so the kids get to explore and enjoy every lesson. Everyone here truly cares about the children and wants to be the best supporters as they grow. I myself have 3 children and know how much school can do for them. My family and I love going on adventures, especially outdoors. Fresh air is the best way to help get out all their energy. Snacks are a must, and I live on coffee! Let’s make great memories this year!
